About

Tamar Samir is an award-winning designer, animator, and director based in New York City with over 18 years of experience in design and branding. In her previous roles as Creative Director at Nickelodeon and Art Director at LOGO (MTV Networks), Tamar was the brand guardian, responsible for maintaining brand identity and integrity across platforms: on-air, print, web, products, and events.

Tamar is also a design educator and has been teaching at Parsons the New School for Design in NYC since 2001.

I’m a mission-driven, interdisciplinary design director. I’m dedicated to creating supportive, equitable, collaborative work environments where people can create, learn, grow, and thrive.

I help organizations communicate and engage authentically and with integrity. I’ve worked in leadership positions in-house for high-profile brands and also as a consultant as a brand and social media strategist. My work has won multiple design awards from Promax/BDA, AIGA, Creativity Awards, and many more. I have taught design and concept development at Parsons School of Design and at Pratt Institute in NYC.
