About
Hi, I’m Tamar (she/her). I’m a heart-forward, mission-driven, interdisciplinary director and designer. As a leader and educator, I’m dedicated to creating supportive, equitable, collaborative work environments where people can create, learn, grow, and thrive.
I help organizations communicate and engage with the public authentically, clearly, and compellingly. I’ve worked with many high-profile brands both in-house and as a consultant. I also enjoy working with solopreneurs and small businesses to help elevate their brand presence. Recently, I’ve focused on collaborations with activists, organizers, and change agents. In 2023, I joined the UAW Union’s Communications Dept. I’m proud to use my expertise in support of workers’ rights.
RECOGNITION
My work has won multiple design awards from Promax/BDA, AIGA, Creativity Awards, and many more. I taught at Parsons School of Design (The New School) and Pratt for many years. The New School News wrote about one of my courses which explored the intersection of design and social justice. My students’ work was featured often on the Parsons School of Design First Year website.
